Accidents happen. Children can easily chip or knock out a tooth falling off bikes and swings or bumping into walls. You name it! As a patient with Special Smiles, 24-hour service is available to treat your child’s dental emergencies. Dr. Satterfield-Siegel has restored the smiles of many of her patients after trauma.
If your child loses a tooth during an accident, the most important thing to do is remain calm. Then find the tooth. Hold it by the crown rather than the root and try to reinsert it in the socket. If that is not possible, put the tooth in a glass of milk and take your child and the glass immediately to the pediatric dentist (Source: American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry)
